Ali Yusif oglu Zeynalov (aze. Əli Yusif oğlu Zeynalov, 1913, Salyan 1988, Baku) - Azerbaijani Soviet actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1964), Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR (1939), laureate of the Republican Prize. M.F. Akhundov (1965).
Biography[]
Ali Zeynalov was born on April 4, 1913 in the city of Salyan in the family of a prominent teacher, honored teacher of the Azerbaijan SSR Yusif Abdullah oglu Zeynalov. In 1933, Ali Zeynalov graduated from the Baku Theater College [1].
From 1934 to 1945 he played on the stage of the Yerevan Drama Theater named after J. Jabbarly. Among the roles he has played on the stage of this theater are such roles as Bakhshi, Ogtay, Aydin ("In 1905", "Ogtay El-ogly", "Aydin" Jafar Jabbarly), Neznamov ("Guilty Without Guilt" by Alexander Ostrovsky), Othello, Claudius ("Othello", "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare), etc. In 1939 Ali Zeynalov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR [1].
From 1945 to 1975, Zeynalov played on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater named after M. Azizbekov. The best roles played by him on the stage of this theater are Seyran ("Namus" by Alexander Shirvanzade), Florizel, Antony ("Winter Tale", "Anthony and Cleopatra" by William Shakespeare), Gilbert ("Maria Tudor" Victor Hugo), Sancho ("Star Sevilla "Lope de Vega), Ahmed Rza (" Strange man "Nazim Hikmet), Hasanzade (" You are always with me "Ilyas Efendiyev), Protasov (" The Living Corpse "of Leo Tolstoy) [1].
Ali Zeynalov was also recognized as a master of oratory. [1]
Ali Zeynalov starred in the films The Shadows Creep (1959), The Mystery of the Fortress (1960), The Legend of Love (1961), Morning (1961), etc. [1]
In 1964, Zeynalov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR, and in 1965 - was awarded the Republican Prize named after M.F. Akhundov [1].
Ali Zeynalov was married to Azerbaijani actress Mirvari Novruzova.
