Zoran Knežević (Serbian Cyrillic: Зоран Kнeжeвић; born August 15, 1986) is a Serbian footballer who plays for Scarborough SC in the Canadian Soccer League.[2]

Playing career[]

Knežević began playing in 2002 with Budućnost Valjevo in the Second League of Serbia and Montenegro, and in 2005 in the Serbian First League with BSK Borca.[3] In 2008, he played abroad in the Russian Premier League with FC Khimki, and later in the Russian First League with Gazovik Orenburg.[4] After a season abroad he returned to Borca in 2009 to play in the Serbian SuperLiga, and later had a stints with FK Sloboda Užice, and FK Jagodina.[5][6][7]

His second term abroad occurred in 2014 in the Persian Gulf Pro League with Padideh F.C..[8] In 2016, he played in the Indonesia Soccer Championship with Bali United F.C..[9] He returned to Europe in 2017 to play in the Serbian League West with Buducnost Valjevo, and in the Montenegrin First League with OFK Grbalj.[10] In 2018, he went abroad for a third time to play in the Canadian Soccer League with Scarborough SC.[11] In 2019, he assisted in securing the CSL Championship after defeating FC Ukraine United.[12]

He featured in the ProSound Cup final in 2021 against FC Vorkuta, but were defeated in a penalty shootout.[13] He also assisted in securing the CSL Championship against Vorkuta in the 2021 playoffs.[14]
