The 18th International Emmy Awards took place on November 24, 1990, at the Sheraton Hotel in New York City, United States.[1]

The International Emmy Awards are given by International Council of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In addition, special awards were given to Henrikas Yushkiavitshus who received the International Council's Directorate Award, and Joan Ganz Cooney, who was given the Founder's Award.
