- May 4, 1961: Turk Farrell and Joe Koppe were traded by the Phillies to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Charley Smith and Don Demeter.[2]
- June 1, 1961: Warren Hacker was purchased from the Phillies by the Chicago White Sox.[3]
