The 1966 Long Beach State 49ers football team represented California State College, Long Beach[note 1] during the 1966 NCAA College Division football season. The 49ers competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The team, led by head coach Don Reed, then in his ninth year, played their home games at Veterans Stadium, adjacent to the campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. They finished the season with a record of six wins and three losses (6–3, 3–2 CCAA).
