The 1985 Nicholls State Colonels football team represented Nicholls State University in the 1985 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Colonels were led by fifth-year head coach Sonny Jackson. They played their home games at John L. Guidry Stadium and were a member of the Gulf Star Conference. They finished the season 6–5, 2–3 in Gulf Star play.
