The men's 50 metre freestyle competition at the 2002 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships took place on August 25–26 at the Yokohama International Swimming Pool.[1][2][3] The last champion was Brendon Dedekind of South Africa.[4]

This race consisted of one length of the pool in freestyle.[5]
