The 2016 Charleston Southern Buccaneers football team represented Charleston Southern University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by fourth-year head coach Jamey Chadwell and played their home games at Buccaneer Field. They were a member of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 7–4, 4–1 in Big South play to share the conference championship with Liberty. They received the Big South's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs where they lost to Wofford in the first round.
