2017 Benue State flooding

The 2017 Benue State flooding took place in September 2017 in Central Nigeria.[1] It displaced 100,000 people,[2][3] and damaged around 2,000 homes.[4] Flooding in the area is common due to heavy rains and the Benue River, which runs through the area.[5]
