This was the first edition of the quad wheelchair singles event at the Wimbledon Championships.[1]

Dylan Alcott became the first quad wheelchair singles champion at the Championships, defeating Andrew Lapthorne in the final, 6−0, 6−2. With this win, Alcott completed the Career Golden Slam.
