2021–22 Scottish Women's Premier League
The 2021–22 Scottish Women's Premier League, known as the Scottish Building Society Scottish Women's Premier League for sponsorship reasons,[1] is the 21st season of the Scottish Women's Premier League, the highest division of women's association football in Scotland since its inception in 2002. The league is split into two divisions – SWPL 1 with 10 teams[2] and SWPL 2 with 7 teams, following the demise of Forfar Farmington.[3] The league started in September 2021 and is due to end in May 2022.[4] Glasgow City are the defending champions.
