The 2021 Maryland Terrapins football team represents the University of Maryland during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season . The Terrapins played their home games at Maryland Stadium in College Park, Maryland , and competed in the Big Ten Conference in the East Division. The team is coached by third-year head coach Mike Locksley . They finished the regular season 6-6, 3-6 in Big Ten play to finish in fifth place in the East Division, becoming bowl eligible for the first time since the 2016 season .[1] The Terrapins accepted a bid to the Pinstripe Bowl to face Virginia Tech .[2]
