The 2022–23 MPBL season, will be the fourth season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.[1] known as MPBL Mumbaki Cup

It was preceded by the 2021 MPBL Invitational Cup which started on December 11, 2021, at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay.[2] The first tournament is planned to be held in February 2022.[3]

Format[]

The format for this season is:

  • All teams will be divided into four groups playing in a single round-robin.
  • The top two teams in each group will advance in the playoffs.

  • The Bacolod Master Sardines changed their team name to All-Star Bacolod Ballers before the start of the season.
  • The Laguna Heroes Krah Asia reverted their name from Biñan City Luxxe White before the start of the season.
  • The Marikina Shoemasters changed their name to Marikina Shoe City before the start of the season.
  • The Makati Super Crunch changed their name to Makati FSD Blazers before the start of the season.
  • The Imus Bandera reverted their name from Imus Khaleb Shawarma before the start of the season.
