The match will be played at Croke Park in Dublin on 24 July 2022.^[1] This will be the earliest in the year that the final has ever taken place. (Some past finals took place at earlier dates in the year, but these were finals that had been delayed until the year(s) after which they were supposed to take place.)^[2]

If the game is a draw after 70 minutes, 20 minutes of extra time will be played. If it is still level, the final will be replayed.^[3]^[4]
