The 2022 Florida Gators football team represents the University of Florida in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Gators play their home games at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida, and compete in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They will be led by first-year head coach Billy Napier.^[1]

Previous season[]

A coaching change happened before the end of the season when head coach Dan Mullen was fired after four seasons at the school with only one game left in the 2021 regular season. Greg Knox was named interim head coach for the final game of the season. Florida named then-Louisiana head coach Billy Napier as their new head coach on November 28, 2021.^[2]
