Announced PDP major candidates who have been approved by the party's screening committee include former Deputy Managing Director of the Guarantee Trust Bank Kayode Adaramodu, former House of Representatives member and PDP National Treasurer Adewale Aribisala, former Ekiti State PDP Chairman and former Commissioner for Environment Bisi Kolawole, Senator for Ekiti South and former Deputy Governor Abiodun Olujimi, former Deputy Governor and 2018 PDP gubernatorial nominee Kolapo Olushola, and former Governor and 2018 APC gubernatorial candidate Olusegun Oni along with six other candidates that were approved by the screening committee.[6][7]

Osun[]

Governor Gboyega Oyetola (APC) was elected to a first term in 2018 and is seeking reelection for a second and final term. Former House of Representatives member for Irepodun/Olurunda/Osogbo/Orolu and 2018 APC gubernatorial candidate Yusuf Sulaimon Lasun has announced his APC primary challenge to Oyetola, who has not officially announced his campaign.[8] Announced PDP candidates include Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance and 2018 PDP gubernatorial candidate Akin Ogunbiyi[9] along with former Osun West Senator and 2018 PDP gubernatorial nominee Ademola Adeleke.[10] Some potential PDP candidates are 2018 PDP gubernatorial candidate Ayoade Adewopo,[11] former Secretary to the State Government and 2018 ADC gubernatorial nominee Fatai Akinade Akinbade, [11] House of Representatives member for Oriade/Obokun Oluwole Oke, and former Minister of Youth Development and 2018 PDP gubernatorial candidate Akinlabi Olasunkanmi.[11]
