The 2023 Winter World University Games, the XXXI Winter World University Games, is scheduled for 2023 in Lake Placid, New York, United States.[1][2]

Host selection[]

The FISU, led by director Milan Augustin, visited the Lake Placid area on June 19–23, 2017, as well as nearby town of Wilmington, New York.[3][4] The announcement was made on March 5, 2018. The bid was called one of the strongest in the history of Universiades by FISU officials.[5]

Sports[]

Nordic Combined,Ski Jumping and Speed Skating are chosen as optional sports.

Numbers in parentheses indicate the number of medal events contested in each sport.
