Abrar Zahoor Dhar (born 16 January 1989) is an Indian actor and model. He started his acting career in the movie Neerja as negative lead (2016).[1][2]

Early life and career[]

He moved from Srinagar to Mumbai in 2014. He continued his education there in Madras Christian College matriculation school, and started modeling in 2006 when he was 16. After graduation in visual communication, he earned a diploma in 3D animation and movie making from MAAC in Chennai.[3][4] After achieving success in modeling in Chennai, he moved to Bangalore in 2010. There he started spending more time tending to his passion: photography and modeling.[5][6] He moved to Mumbai in 2014 to try his luck on the silver screen. After getting his diploma from Barry John's acting institute, he gave his first audition for a role in Neerja. He got selected as the negative lead.

In 2016, he made his debut on the silver screen as a Palestinian hijacker in the Sonam Kapoor-starrer Neerja,[7] which was critically acclaimed by critics Bollywood". kohl rimmed eyes, and the movie won national award for best film that year. After that abrar acted in movie “ Uri “ along with vicky kaushal , uri also won national award that year , in 2020 Abrar got his big break for Netflix original movie , directed by Abbas mastan . Along with actor arjun Rampal , Bobby deol , sharman Joshi, Moni Roy and Cyrus barucha.[8]
