Action 24 is a Greek television channel in Attica. It broadcasts 13 digital terrestrial broadcasting centers in Attica and Evia via satellite pay-platform NOVA.

History[]

It started its operation in October 1990 by the region of Megara in Attica with the name TVM (i.e. TV Megara).

The program initially consisted mainly of music (video clips) and advertising telemarketing and telesales. Two years later changed name and TVM renamed TV Magic. In 1993 the channel's facilities moved to Piraeus.

In 1994 he withdrew from the shareholding structure founder Sotiris Papailias and the majority package of shares of the station was acquired by businessman Andrew Zygouras.

In 1995 renamed Magic Piraeus and later in the period 1998-2003 Magic TV, and also became a radical change in his program. From the station, which was broadcasting only video clips and telemarketing, transformed into a news television station specializing in central politics and local news mainly of Piraeus.

In 2000 the station was purchased by entrepreneur Sokratis Kokkalis and broadcast program mainly sports content and emissions of the group Olympiacos CFP. The program of the station included a number of sports programs, sports broadcasts (such as EuroLeague and WWE), and information programs.

The Magic TV has established itself as the channel of the group of fans Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus with popular broadcast GATE 7 with all-new Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus with the organized followers, Takis Tsoukalas, discussions, comments around the team, but also with contacting supporters and for some time was broadcasting the matches of the group of Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus in all sports.

In May 2008 the channel was renamed Sport TV and transmits most different sports from around the world and in January 2013 the station changed ownership and gradually Sport TV was renamed Action 24. It continues to this day but no longer has any link with the group Olympiacos Club of Fans of Piraeus.

Shareholders and the President of the station are currently Dionysis Panagiotakis (100% interest).

In April 2017 the channel (Action 24) appeared again on COSMOTE TV (Old Name: OTE because of merge with COSMOTE) with the number 112. The contract with NOVA TV was over. Action 24 was in COSMOTE TV (Before OTE) for a week but a week later it was removed as there seemed to be exclusive cooperation of Action 24 with Nova.
