Adhiwala

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Adhiwala is an ancient site located 7–8 km (4.3–5.0 mi) away from Muhammad Pur. Adihwala was the midpoint of the forces of Rani Seeta of Harrand during their passage to Seetpur, near present Alipur district Muzaffargarh. From the geography and the location, the place was named Adhiwala, which is still in use. After converting to Islam, Rani ordered the construction of a mosque at Adhiwala. There were indications of this mosque up to the end of the 20th century. However, a new mosque has been built at the same location. Also present here is the shrine of Wali Ullah, Peer Aqil Shah Sahib.
