Adin David Ross (born October 11, 2000), previously known as Adin2Huncho, is an American Twitch streamer known for streaming Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K on his channel, as well as IRL content.[1]

Early life[]

Adin Ross was born on October 11, 2000 in Boca Raton, Florida. He moved to New York City for a brief period of time, but would ultimately settle in Three Rivers, California, and attended Woodlake Union High School.[2] Ross had an interest in streaming from a young age, and has stated that he skipped his high school prom to stream on Twitch.[3]

At 12 years old, as revealed on a No Jumper interview with Adam22, he was stabbed in his sleep by a mentally unstable relative. Adin Ross had nine stitches in his arm while the relative went to jail before being admitted to a mental hospital.[4]

Career[]

In 2019 Ross began regularly streaming on Twitch while living with his sister Naomi. He joined a NBA 2K group called Always Excelling and met Bronny James through it. He gained popularity by playing NBA 2K20 with James, and doing wager matches with other streamers and YouTubers.[5] In 2020, Ross was streaming with Bronny when LeBron James stopped to join in on the call, which would later be uploaded on his Twitter.[6] In November 2020, after being unsatisfied with NBA 2K21 and its creators, Ross started the Twitter hashtag #make2kfunagain, which reached number one trending worldwide on the platform.[7] At around the same time, Ross began hosting "e-date" streams, where people compete to find a date over Discord, which led to further growth to his Twitch account.[8]

In December 2020, Adin was botted 400k followers while streaming with Cheeser. The botter said he did it because he disliked Cheeser. He then was exposed for saying racial slurs to Adin's friend Cuffem.

In January 2021, Ross revealed his own GTA V server, SSB Wrld. It would be played by xQc, Nav, Travis Scott, and others.[citation needed] In February 2021, he was the first creator to be revealed to be in the collective Clout Gang 2.0 and moved in to the wizza house along with FaZe Banks, Mike Majlak, Sommer Ray and RiceGum[9].[citation needed] That same month, Ross failed to follow up on another hot tub stream, leading some to call him a scammer.[citation needed] The comment made him lash out, saying that he was annoyed and that he did not owe them anything.[citation needed]

Since February 2020, Adin has been part of the group known as SSB (Stacy's Stepbrothers). Each member of the group produces online videos and Twitch streams, most often consisting of video game commentary or IRL content. The group consists of Bronny James, ShnaggyHose, ZaneOnTheGame, IziPrime, Cuffemm, and OGRoyce.

In April, Adin found himself in a unwanted beef with rapper Foolio. Adin was singing along to "Who I Smoke" a song that disses Foolio, his friends and his brother. Foolio found this out after people in Adin's stream tagged Foolio in the clip. This then lead to Adin apologizing to Foolio and ending the beef. But about one week later after unknowingly being on IG Live he was caught singing the song again which then lead to him apologizing for the second time. Adin then had Foolio on as a guest on his stream to officially end the beef.

On April 4, his Twitch was hit by botted followers which made his follower count to spike by three million. Though this had occurred, Adin still gains hundreds of thousands of live viewers per stream at one time.[10] Days later, on April 10, 2021, Ross was banned from Twitch after YouTuber Zias answered a phone call and called Ross a "faggot".[11] Ross was not in the room at the time, and he contacted Twitch staff where they said it was okay to still stream as he himself did not say it, but was still banned.[12] His followers then started the hashtag #FreeAdin.[13] He was unbanned on April 12. On April 22, fellow streamer Ludwig Ahgren called Ross the "King of normie content", also saying that he thought he was joined by the likes of RiceGum and had blew up because he had kissed Corinna Kopf. Ross responded by boasting that he could top Ahgren's numbers as his friends were backing him.[citation needed] Ahgren responded by expressing surprise over the comment, as he had also called himself a normie as well.[14]

On May 10, 2021, Ross revealed that he would be donating 10% of his Twitch revenue per month to a charity of his audience's choice.[15] On May 29, Ross received a 24-hour Twitch ban as he was streaming GTA V. The ban was reportedly over Ross simulating sexual acts in game.[citation needed]
