Administrative divisions of Rivne Oblast

Rivne Oblast is subdivided into districts (raions) which are subdivided into amalgamated territorial communities (hromadas).

Administrative divisions after 2020[]

On 18 July 2020, the number of districts was reduced to four.[1][2] These are:

  1. Dubno (Дубенський район), the center is in the town of Dubno. Dubno Raion absorbed:
    1. Demydivka Raion
    2. Mlyniv Raion
    3. Radyvyliv Raion
  2. Rivne (Рівненський район), the center is in the city of Rivne. Rivne Raion absorbed:
    1. Berezne Raion
    2. Hoshcha Raion
    3. Korets Raion
    4. Kostopil Raion
    5. Ostroh Raion
    6. Zdolbuniv Raion
  3. Sarny (Сарненський район), the center is in the town of Sarny. Sarny Raion absorbed:
    1. Dubrovytsia Raion
    2. Rokytne Raion
  4. Varash (Вараський район), the center is in the town of Varash. Varash Raion previously consisted of:
    1. Volodymyrets Raion
    2. Zarichne Raion

Before 2020, Rivne Oblast was subdivided into 20 regions: 16 districts (raions) and 4 city municipalities (mis'krada or misto), officially known as territories governed by city councils.[3]
