"Adrenalina" (English: "Adrenaline") is a song recorded by Puerto Rican rapper-singer Wisin, featuring Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin and American singer Jennifer Lopez. It was written by Lopez, Martin, Wisin, José Torres and Carlos E. Ortiz. It was released as the second single from Wisin's second studio album El Regreso del Sobreviviente.[1] It received a nomination for the Billboard Latin Music Award for Latin Rhythm Airplay Song of the Year in 2015.[2]

"Adrenalina" marks Wisin and Lopez' second collaboration after the successful "Follow the Leader" in 2014 with their fellow Latin artist Yandel.

Background and release[]

On October 30, 2013, it was revealed that Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Wisin had recorded a song together entitled "Adrenalina". Wisin & Yandel had previously collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on "Follow the Leader" (2012), the lead single from their ninth studio album Líderes (2012), and with Ricky Martin on "Frío", the third single from his ninth studio album Música + Alma + Sexo (2011).[3][4]

It was rumored that Wisin and Yandel were originally looking to collaborate with Shakira, but she turned down the offer to do the song.

Music video[]

The music video was filmed in February 2014 in Miami and directed by Jessy Terrero. There are two versions: one for the Spanish version and one for the Spanglish version. The video for the Spanish version premiered on March 3, 2014 on Vevo and got ten million views in one week.[5] The music video was nominated for Video of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards of 2015.[6] The Martin video for the Spanglish Version premiered on April 10, 2014 on Vevo. Another video was created by Univision for their 2014 FIFA World Cup coverage.[7]

The music video surpassed 800 Million views on YouTube, when translated into singles sales equivalents including Spotify streaming the song has generated an additional 533,000 streaming equivalent sales.[8]

Live performances[]

Martin performed "Adrenalina" for first time at the finale of The Voice Arabia.[9]
