Akova is a village in Gülnar district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 36°24′N 33°12′E / 36.400°N 33.200°E it is situated in the Taurus Mountains to the west of Gülnar. Distance to Gülnar is 25 kilometres (16 mi) and to Mersin is 174 kilometres (108 mi). The population of the village was 115[1] as of 2012.
