Al-Watan Al-Akbar (Arabic: الوطن الأكبر‎, translated The Greatest Homeland) is an Arab Nationalist song composed by the Egyptian Mohammed Abdel Wahab in 1960, and arranged by Ali Ismael.

History[]

It was composed to celebrate the union of Egypt and Syria into the United Arab Republic.[1][2][3][4] It also extolls the Pan-Arabist vision for a united Arab state.
