History[]
Albrechtice was founded in 1670 and named by its founder, count Albrecht Maximilian Desfours. The hamlet of Mariánská Hora was founded around 1700.[2]
During the World War II, the village was the base for a working party (E342) of British and Commonwealth prisoners of war, under the administration of Stalag VIIB/344 at Łambinowice in Poland. In January 1945, as the Soviet armies resumed their offensive and advanced into Germany, the prisoners were marched westward in the so-called death march.[citation needed]
