Alessio De Sio

Alessio De Sio (born 31 May 1968) is a global lobbyst, journalist and former politician. Since September 2017 he is Chief Institutional and Communication Officer in ZTE Italia Group, European hub of ZTE Corporation, one of the larger telecommunication company in the world. He was the External and Institutional Relations Director and Senior Vice President of Hitachi Rail Italy.

De Sio worked as a reporter at Il Tempo for nearly a decade. He also was MAYOR of 'Civitavecchia" (RM) and Councilman of Provincia di Roma. He served as advisor of the Prime Minister’s Office in the Civil Defense team for the waste crisis in Naples in 2006; as an "Eni" consultant from 2007 to 2010. In 2010 De Sio was hired as a Head of Institution Relations for "Finmeccanica", the leading industrial group in the high-technology sector in Italy and in aerospace, defence and security.

De Sio becomes director of External Relations in July 2012 for "AnsaldoBreda" the rail transport engineering company based in Italy. On November 2, 2015 AnsaldoBreda has been sold to "Hitachi" and changed its name to Hitachi Rail Italy. De Sio maintains his position and in addition he becomes the contact point for the Italian media and deputy leaders.

Since agoust De Sio is the new Public and Institutional Relations Director of ZTE Italia.

Graduated from a classical lyceum, De Sio got a degree in Administration Sciences and was president of the University Consortium "City of Civitavecchia."

De Sio has established an art and science award to the memory of the great Italian scientist "Guglielmo Marconi".
