Ana Cristina Cash (born June 2, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter.
Born in Miami, Florida, United States, she is known professionally as Ana Cristina Cash and Ana Cristina. She is the daughter of Cuban parents who immigrated to U.S. in the 1960s. Her father, Rene Alvarez, graduated as a mechanical engineer and her mother, Teresita, studied teaching and is a homemaker. She has two older sisters. She attended Catholic school in both elementary and middle school and later attended Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami for high school. She graduated from Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Cash debuted in a local TV show, Sábado Gigante, at the age of 6 and taped shows regularly on the international hit show until the age of 14. At the age of 15, she signed to the Latin division of Sony Music and released records in the Spanish language. She took piano lessons as a child and learned to play guitar as a teenager which would later help with her songwriting.

Ana Cristina was signed to the Latin Division of Sony Music at age 15. She released a Spanish-language record, "Ana Cristina," and several releases on telenovela soundtracks.
On January 20, 2005, Ana Cristina became the first Hispanic person to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a Presidential Inauguration.[1] October 6, 2006 she performed three songs in a private show at the White House in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
In 2015 she released at pop/soul record, "The West Coast Sessions," completely self-written and recorded in Los Angeles.The album was produced by Chris Price.
In March 2017 she released "The Tough Love EP", a fusion of Country, Americana, and Rockabilly music which she recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee. It was produced by her husband, John Carter Cash.
In 2018 she was featured in the song "Ghost Riders In The Sky" on Devildriver's country cover album Outlaws 'til the End: Vol. 1 which also featured her husband John Carter Cash & singer of Lamb Of God Randy Blythe.
In 2018, she released a full-length classic Christmas album titled “My Christmas Collection” which included 11 traditional holiday favorites and one original track.
In 2019, new recordings were teased on her social media pages and it is rumored that she will be releasing a full length album of which most of the tracks were written by her and recorded in Nashville.
Personal life[]
On October 29, 2016, she married singer-songwriter and record producer John Carter Cash. They have been together for 7 years. They currently live together in Hendersonville, Tennessee where they operate Cash Cabin Enterprises LLC, a full service production company and collaborate on music and other ventures. Ana and her husband John Carter have a daughter, Grace June Cash and a son, James Kristoffer Cash.
