Andy's object

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andy’s object is an unidentified astronomical radio source sending "radio signals … from the direction of the centre of the galaxy", named after its discoverer, Ziteng Wang of the University of Sydney in Australia, using the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder and MeerKAT radio telescopes. The object is not visible to "the most powerful non-radio telescopes" and was detected six times between 2020 January and 2020 September.[1][2]
