Arun Narang

Arun Narang is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician from Punjab. He has been elected in Punjab Legislative Assembly election in 2017 from Abohar constituency as candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party.[1][2][3][4]

Attack in Muktsar[]

On March 27, 2021, Arun Narang had gone to Malout, Muktsar district in Punjab for a press conference[5] On his arrival, the protesting farmers, alleged to be belonging to Ekta Sidhupur, Lakhowal and Kadian units of BKU,[6] who were waiting near the BJP office, threw black ink at him. Police official escorted them to local shop, but upon returning from it, the protestors allegedly thrashed them and stripped Narang naked.[5][7]

Bharatiya Janata Party condemned the attack on MLA. Samyukta Kisan Morcha appealed to all protestors to remain peaceful.[5]

An FIR has been registered against 250-300 unknown protestors.[5]
