Bandar Rig (Persian: بندرريگ; also Romanized as Bandar Rīg and Bandar-e Rīg; also known simply as Rig)[2] is a city in and capital of Rig District, in Ganaveh County, Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,257, in 1,169 families.[3]
According to a 1939 publication of the anthropologist Henry Field, 12,000 Circassians lived in Bandar Rig.[4]
