Bangladesh Railway Class 3200 is a class of metre-gauge Diesel locomotive in Bangladesh, operated by Bangladesh Railway. Total 22 locos of this class entered the fleet of Bangladesh Railway in 1980. These locos were manufactured by Ganz-MÁVAG.[1] Upon introduction, they were used for shunting.

Classification and numbering[]

The class of these locos is 3200 and are numbered from 3201 to 3228. Their class-name/specification is "MHZ–5".[2] Here, M = Meter–gauge, H = Diesel–hydraulic, G = Ganz-MÁVAG and 5 = 5 × 100 = 500 hp.
