Bavil Rural District (Persian: دهستان باويل) is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Osku County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran.[1] At the 2006 census, its population (including Sahand, which was subsequently detached from the rural district and promoted to city status) was 23,318, in 6,801 families; excluding Sahand, the population (as of 2006) was 9,708, in 2,879 families.[2] The rural district has 6 villages.
