Belle Adair was an American actress who was active in Hollywood during the silent era.

Biography[]

Belle was born in Wallingford, Vermont, to John Adair and Sarah Anderson; the family relocated to Glen Falls, New York, when Belle was young.[2] Belle later moved to New York City to study at Brooklyn Teachers Training College. While in New York she appeared in several films before marrying Ewald F. Buchal of Passaic, New Jersey. Belle died in 1926 after a period of poor health.[3][4]
