Bibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay (24 October 1894 – 30 July 1987)[1] was an Indian Bengali language author.
Bibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay was born on 24 October 1894 in Pandoul, a village of the Mithila region of British India.[citation needed] His ancestral village is Chatra, Serampore in West Bengal.
He received the Ananda Puraskar award in 1958, the Rabindra Puraskar in 1972 and the in 1978. He was also awarded the from Calcutta University, a D.Litt. degree from the University of Burdwan and from the Visva-Bharati University of Shantiniketan.[citation needed]
Mukhopadhyay died on 30 July 1987 in Darbhanga at the age of 93, He never married.[citation needed]
