Bigg Boss 3 is the third season of the Telugu-language version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss.. It premiered on 21 July 2019 on Star Maa. Nagarjuna was the host of the season.^[1] Ramya Krishnan was guest host for Week 6 instead of Nagarjuna who was then in Spain for celebrating his 60th birthday.

The season concluded on 3 November 2019 after 105 days with Rahul Sipligunj winning the title along with ₹5,000,000 prize money while Sreemukhi emerged as the first runner-up.^[2][3][4]

Bigg Boss 3 Buzzz[]

Bigg Boss 3 Buzzz is an Indian Telugu-language Television talk show about the reality television series Bigg Boss Telugu. The host Tanish conducts the talk show with the evicted contestants of Bigg Boss 3 on every Monday, the show premiered on 22 July 2019 onwards on Star Maa Music. The unseen portions of episodes that were not aired on television are streamed on Disney+ Hotstar and aired on Star Maa Music as Bigg Boss 3 Buzzz.^[5]

Reception[]

The launch of season 3 opened with 17.9 TVR, which is bigger than the previous seasons.^[6] The grand finale of season 3 of duration four and half hours scored 18.29 TVR being the highest ever rating achieved by the Bigg Boss Indian franchise. The last hour of telecast, featuring Chiranjeevi as chief guest, alone garnered 22.4 TVR.^[7]

• ^Note 1 : On Launch Night, Shiva Jyothi, Ravikrishna & Ashu were given a task to ask few questions given by BIGG BOSS, they had to choose 6 Housemates on the bases of their answers. As a result, Rahul, Bhaskar, Sreemukhi, Jaffar, Varun & Vithika were Nominated.   And other housemates were Safe.
• ^Note 2 : :   On Day 1, Rahul, Bhaskar, Sreemukhi, Jaffar, Varun & Vithika had to mutually decide one housemate to be the Monitor. They choose Hema.
• ^Note 3 : Housemates have given a Nomination Task where the 6 nominated housemates had a chance to replace 1 safe housemate, but the decision will be made by Monitor Hema. Monitor Hema was also up for replacing for the sixth nominee and the decision was taken by other housemates and nominated Hema.
• ^Note 4 : During the nomination process, Vithika was discussing nominations. Bigg Boss immediately took away her nomination eligibility.
• ^Note 5 : Bhaskar denied Bigg Boss to nominate two housemates. Bigg Boss gave him a choice to nominate 2 housemates or all the housemates will be nominated for eviction. Bhaskar decided to nominate two housemates.
• ^Note 6 : Face-to-face nominations.
• ^Note 7 : During the nomination process, Punarnavi self-nominated and denied to nominate two housemates. Bigg Boss gave her the choice to nominate 2 housemates or she will be nominated for the entire season. Punarnavi decided to nominate two housemates.
• ^Note 8 : On Day 17, during the task Sreemukhi broke task property. Bigg Boss directly nominated her for Week 4.
• ^Note 9 : In Week 3, Ali & Punarnavi successfully competed their Secret Task and won immunity from Week 4's nominations.
• ^Note 10 : For this nomination process, housemates were called in pairs to the Confession Room, then had to mutually decide to save one of them from eviction and nominate the other.
• ^Note 11 : During the nomination process, Shiva Jyothi & Rohini were discussing nominations. As Shiva Jyothi was already nominated for Week 4's Eviction, Bigg Boss nominated Rohini. And directly nominated both of them for Week 5.
• ^Note 12 : In this nomination process, Bigg Boss asked the housemates to pair-up. Then other housemates had to nominate one of the housemates from each pair. The one with more nominations was nominated and in case of a tie in votes, the Captain Shiva Jyothi had to break the tie. Later Captain Shiva Jyothi had a special power to directly nominate one of the non-nominated housemates. She chose Varun.
• ^Note 13 : On Day 37, three of the six nominees had a chance to save themselves from nominations. Ravikrishna, Rahul & Varun successfully completed their tasks and were saved from nominations.
• ^Note 14 : This week there was no Eviction, even though the public voting was open.
• ^Note 15 : Nominations were done in pairs.
• ^Note 16 : In Week 8, before the nominations, Bigg Boss divided the housemates into two groups. Group 1 – Sreemukhi, Ravikrishna, Himaja, Shiva Jyothi and Mahesh and Group 2 – Punarnavi, Rahul, Varun, Vithika & Shilpa. Each housemate could only nominate 2 housemates from the other group.
• ^Note 17 : In Week 9, one had to do a sacrifice given by Bigg Boss to save the other contestant from nominations.
• ^Note 18 : In Week 10, Bigg Boss paired-up housemates and each pair had to pitch themselves to show they are stronger player than the other. Then other housemates had to save one of the housemates from each pair.
