The blue-tufted starthroat (Heliomaster furcifer) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay and possibly Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and dry savanna.
