Brent Erickson (born March 26, 1966) is an American computer and video game developer with many titles to his credit. He has been involved in nearly every aspect of game development, from design to production. He published his first game in 1978 for the TRS-80 and Apple computers. In 1983, Erickson began working with Access Software where he helped create more than 30 products including the best selling and award-winning Tex Murphy series of games.

In 1995, Erickson founded Flashpoint Productions where he designed Noctropolis and Golf Magazine: 36 Great Holes Starring Fred Couples. Flashpoint was purchased in 1995 by Bethesda Softworks, and Erickson became Bethesda's development director.[1][2] While at Bethesda, he created drag racing games Burnout Championship Drag Racing, NIRA Intense Import Drag Racing and IHRA Motorsports.

After Bethesda was purchased by ZeniMax Media in 1999, Erickson worked with Kodiak Interactive as a lead programmer and produced the PS2 version of Monster's Inc. for Disney.

After Kodiak closed its doors in 2001, Erickson developed more than 15 professional-level automotive simulation products for Motion Software and ProRacingsim. These products are used worldwide by racers and automotive enthusiasts.

Erickson then took a role with Vicarious Visions (Activision) in New York as their Innovation Lab manager where he worked on various porotype games around the Guitar Hero franchise.

Erickson spent the next nine years as the Sr. Software Engineering Manager for Harman Professional where he managed an international team of developers creating products for the BSS, dbx, Digitech, JBL, and Lexicon brands. Erickson lived in Bangalore, India and Shenzhen, China while on assignment for Harman.

Erickson is currently the V.P. Engineering and Senior Product Category Leader for Music Tribe where he manages an international team of developers creating gaming related products under the TC Helicon brand.

Erickson was also previously an adjunct professor for Salt Lake Community College, teaching C++ and Software Engineering.

Erickson has spoken at the 1994 Computer Game Developer's Conference, the Thurston County Economic Development Council, the Lacey Chamber of Commerce, and the South Puget Sound Community College.

He lives in West Jordan, Utah.
