Brian Ellison Baker (born 1944) is a former Canadian diplomat. He was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Denmark. Wed to Dane, Mette Egelund; Baker became familiar with the Danish language in his capacity as Ambassador. Baker was succeeded as ambassador by Mary Simon. He owns and operates a modest homestead on approximately 80 acres in Dunrobin, Ontario. Baker remains a major consultant on North Atlantic matters concerning trade and diplomacy specifically with Greenland.
