'Red Plume' grows to a height of 3 m and is distinguished by its panicles of velvety, reddish-violet flowers; [1] Dirr likened the shrub to 'Royal Red'. [2] [1]
Cultivation[]
'Red Plume' is grown at the J C Raulston Arboretum, Raleigh, North Carolina; it is not known to be in cultivation beyond the USA. Hardiness: USDA zones 6–9. [3]
