Cameraria ostryarella is a moth of the family Gracillariidae. It is known from Ontario and Quebec in Canada, and Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, New York, Connecticut and Vermont in the United States.[2][3]

The wingspan is 6–7 mm.

The larvae feed on Ostrya species, including Ostrya virginiana and . They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a blotch mine on the upperside of the leaf. As many as four or five may occur in one mine. The hibernating larvae pass the winter in circular silken-lined chambers, the outline appearing on the upper epidermis as a circular narrow ridge.
