Cartoonito is a British television channel which targets children between the ages of 2 and 6.[1] It is run by AT&T's WarnerMedia under its international division.
History[]
Cartoonito began as a programming block on Cartoon Network Too on 4 September 2006, running from 6 AM to 3 PM. It later expanded into its own channel on 24 May 2007, now running between 3 AM and 7 PM in a time-sharing agreement with Turner Classic Movies 2 (which later became Turner Classic Movies +1 after 13 August 2013).[citation needed]
On 25 March 2010, Cartoonito was added to Virgin Media.[2] In early 2011, the channel's runtime was changed, now running from 4 AM to 8 PM. On Saturday 26th October 2013 Cartoonito was Launched On BT TV on The Kids Pack On Channel 563 And Plusnet Launched Cartoonito in May 2015, On 15 December 2016, it was added to TalkTalk.[3]
Cartoonito shifted its aspect ratio to 16:9 widescreen on 1 November 2017. The channel moved to a full 24-hour schedule on 15 January 2018.[4]
Mascots[]
Cuba (Red Cube), Lolly (Purple Cylinder) and Ringo (Green Ring) are voiced by Maria Darling until 2018 while Spike (Blue Pyramid) and Bubble (Yellow Sphere) are voiced by Shelley Longworth.
