Casella is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 14 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,131 and an area of 7.8 square kilometres (3.0 sq mi).[3]

The municipality of Casella contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets): Carpeneta, Cortino, Crocetta, Parata-Salvega, Stabbio, Stazione.

Casella borders the following municipalities: Montoggio, Savignone, Serra Riccò, Valbrevenna.
