Chacoche District is one of the nine districts of the Abancay Province in Peru.[1]
Geography[]
One of the highest peaks of the district is Wik'uña Wat'a at approximately 4,600 m (15,100 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups[]
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (68.89%) learnt to speak in childhood, 30.76% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
