Chandpur Railway Station (locally known as Borostation) is a railway station of Chandpur Sadar sub-district of Chandpur District of Bangladesh. It is the final station of the Laksham-Chandpur railway route.:[1][2]

History[]

Founded in 1892 in England, Assam Bengal Railway company took the responsibility to construct rail lines in this country. 150 km meter-gauge line from Chittagong to Comilla and 69 km meter-gauge line from Laksham to Chandpur were opened to public on 1st July, 1895.[3] During that time, as the final station of the Laksham-Chandpur railway route, Chandpur Railway Station was built.

  3. (currently inactive)

Two Eid special trains run from Chittagong Railway Station during the time of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, using the coaches of Chittagong University Shuttle trains. Freight trains run sometime but are not regular.
