Sagarika Express (Bengali: সাগরিকা এক্সপ্রেস) is a passenger train of Bangladesh. It runs between Chandpur and Chattogram District.[1]

Along with Meghna Express, this train connects many districts of southern Bangladesh with Chattogram through Chandpur via Meghna river. The train went on private operation on 15 February 2015, and is maintained by 'N L Trading' afterwards.[2]

Incidents and accidents[]

  • On January 8, 2011, at 8:30 AM a coach of Chandpur-bound Sagarika Express malfunctioned; the train stopped near Chayabani area, Chandpur District. After repairs, it started its journey at 6 PM.[3]
