Chen Yifa, more commonly known in Chinese as Chen Yifaer (Chinese: 陈一发儿; pinyin: Chén Yīfār), is a Chinese Internet live streamer.[1] She made her first live broadcast on Douyu (Chinese: 斗鱼网) in September 2014 and rose to fame for her Internet single "Fairy Town"( [zh]) in 2016.

Chen's career as a live streamer ended abruptly on 31 July 2018 when her comments on the Nanjing Massacre caused major outrage in China.[2][3][4][5] Regarding the Nanjing Massacre, in which Japanese troops raped and murdered thousands of Nanjing residents suring the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945), Chen read one of the danmu, which said "Japanese soldiers' blades were so sharp". During a later stream, she described one game scene as "bowing to Yasukuni shrine", referring to the controversial shrine honoring Japanese soldiers, including convicted war criminals.[2]

Chen Yifa resumed her live stream career on Youtube and Twitch from early 2021, more than two years after she stopped broadcasting on Douyu.[6]
