China Beijing Environmental Exchange

China Beijing Environmental Exchange (CBEEX) is a corporate domestic and international environmental equity public trading platform initiated by the China Beijing Equity Exchange (CBEX) and authorized by the Beijing municipal government.

In June 2009, the CBEEX signed a deal with BlueNext to build a platform for carbon credit trade. BlueNext is Europe's largest carbon credit exchange and is owned jointly by NYSE Euronext and French state-owned bank Caisse des Dépôts.[1][2][3][4][5]

CBEEX is a public platform to solve environmental problems by economic means, a national central market for environmental equity with advanced technology and rational structure, a market platform for international environmental cooperation, an important environmental financial derivatives market. CBEEX aims to become a valuing and trading platform for domestic and international environmental equity. CBEEX aims to realize resource optimization, cost minimization and efficiency maximization in energy conservation and emission reduction though advanced transaction system, extensive network of members and partners. CBEEX is devoted to building resource conservation and environment-friendly society, through financial innovation, to realize sustainable development.
