Cindy Milstein

Cindy Milstein is an American anarchist activist based in Brooklyn.[1][2]

Life[]

Milstein was born in East Lansing, Michigan to Barbara and David Milstein.[3]

Milstein gives talks at various anarchist and socialist gatherings, including Occupy movement gatherings.[1] They are an Institute for Anarchist Studies board member and a co-organizer of the Renewing the Anarchist Tradition conference.[4][5] Milstein was a collective member of Black Sheep Books in Montpelier, Vermont until it closed in June 2011.[6] She is a collective member of Station 40 in San Francisco.[when?][6] Milstein has taught at the Institute for Social Ecology.[when?][7]

There is Nothing So Whole as a Broken Heart[]

In 2021, AK Press published There is Nothing So Whole as a Broken Heart: Mending the World as Jewish Anarchists, an anthology of written work edited by Milstein.[8][better source needed]
