Crown Prince Hyodeok (Hangul: 효덕태자, Hanja: 孝德太子) was a Korean Royal Prince as the first son of Daejong of Goryeo and Queen Seonui.[1] He was the older brother of Seongjong of Goryeo.[2]

Since his parents were died when he was young, he then raised by his paternal grandmother, Queen Sinjeong along with his other siblings.[3] Therefore, it was speculated that he lived in Hwangju where Queen Sinjeong came from.[citation needed] Also, because Gyeongjong of Goryeo's throne was succeeded to Seongjong his little brother and not to him, so it can be that he died at a young age before the time of throne's ascension.[4]
